Those clicks happen when the camera inserts a little lens inside the camera near the image sensor called “IR cut filter,” and that is needed for the super clear night vision the camera offers.
If the light in the room is unstable between dark and bright areas, the camera will keep detecting the light and making the clicking noises.
Here are some suggestions that could prevent abnormal night vision issues:
- Avoid the objects or human bodies that are too close to the camera, such as cribs, baby straps, babies, etc.
- Prevent the camera from capturing a big range of white objects, like walls, white beds, etc.
- Avoid strong light illuminating the camera frontally, such as indoor lights or desk lamps.
- We suggest that you try to see if adjusting how close or far the camera is in respect to the baby/crib stops the IR cut from switching often.
