Background Play Functionality:
Background play is akin to a music player on your mobile device, allowing you to stay connected with the sounds from your nursery while using other apps. Here's how you can enable and troubleshoot Background Play:
- Ensure your phone or mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Lollipop Baby Camera (indoor mode).
- Click on the small phone icon within the live view to activate Background Play. This way, you can hear your baby while multitasking on your device.
You will receive push notifications if there's any disconnection between your camera and mobile device, providing added peace of mind.
Troubleshooting Tips:
- If your mobile device appears in Outdoor mode despite being on the same Wi-Fi network, try the following:
- Reboot your Wi-Fi access point. (How to reconnect your Lollipop's wifi?)
- Replug the camera and check for a resolution.
- Perform a Network Diagnosis to confirm the camera's current mode (Outdoor - RTMP or Indoor - RTSP). Your device should be in Indoor mode when connected to the same Wi-Fi.
- Check for the AP Isolation feature in your Wi-Fi router settings. If enabled, it may hinder the camera from running in Indoor mode.
