Since the video and audio data must travel from your network server to Lollipop’s servers and then to your mobile device, small delays might happen when the camera buffers some of the data in order to serve it more uniformly. The length of data buffered depends on how fast the camera can transmit the data to the end point.
Here are some suggestions for resolving the delay issue or lagging:
- Use "Network Diagnosis" to confirm the signal strength, also the indoor mode has less lagging issue than outdoor mode.
- Check whether you're using old routers or access points with old firmware, mesh networks, etc.
- Make sure that your upload bandwidth is enough for the camera to operate. Check whether other devices are consuming all the available upload bandwidth at the same time.
- Check your device's firmware. It might struggle to display a live view smoothly due to unoptimized firmware. Also, a delay might occur if your mobile device is receiving a weak signal from the Wi-Fi AP/4G/5G cell tower.
